Central Florida's tourism industry achieved a record-breaking economic impact of $98.6 billion last year, according to a study by Tourism Economics. Direct visitor spending reached nearly $63 billion, marking a 5% increase from the previous year. Orange
County, home to the majority of Disney World, accounted for 85% of this spending. The region welcomed 76.7 million visitors, contributing over $35 billion in indirect economic activity. Tourism also generated more than $7 billion in state and local tax revenue, offsetting the average household tax burden by $7,690 annually. The industry supported over 476,541 jobs, with 294,659 directly linked to tourism-related sectors.
