What's Happening?
The Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) has launched a national initiative called PULSE (Public health Use case and Learning Scaling Engine) to help U.S. public health agencies implement generative AI solutions. OpenAI and Anthropic have contributed 10 enterprise
licenses, allowing 2,000 public health practitioners to participate. The initiative aims to address the challenges faced by public health teams, such as limited resources, by providing tools for biosurveillance, social determinants of health mapping, community feedback analysis, multilingual translation, and automated clinical data retrieval. Applications for participation are open until August 6, with pilots starting in the fall.
