Redwood City Art Students Transform Alleyway with Community Mural

A group of art students from Redwood City, in collaboration with the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) at M-A, have successfully created and installed a mural in a local alleyway. This project was part of the Youth Mural Alley competition organized by the Redwood City Arts Commission, which aims to provide local youth with opportunities to enhance community spaces through art. The mural, featuring a San Francisco cable car and California poppies, was installed behind Hotel Sequoia, transforming the previously dark alley into a vibrant community space. Art teacher Mitzi Ulloa facilitated the project, encouraging students to participate and explore new artistic styles and materials.
