Sonardyne International has introduced the SPRINT-Nav, a compact navigation system designed for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), and extra-large unmanned underwater vehicles (XLUUVs).
This system integrates inertial navigation, Doppler velocity log (DVL), and depth sensing technologies within a single titanium-housed unit. The SPRINT-Nav aims to provide precise real-time data on position, velocity, and attitude, supporting both autonomous and crewed missions in various water environments. It offers calibration-free deployment and pre-aligned sensors for immediate operational use, enhancing positional stability and enabling high-precision station keeping, survey operations, and autonomous control. The system is available in four performance levels and two DVL frequency options, catering to diverse mission requirements.
