The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is appealing to the public for information, including dashcam video and witness accounts, regarding a serious hit-and-run incident that occurred on State Route 99 in Seattle's Georgetown area. On August 22, at approximately
1:25 a.m., WSP troopers responded to a crash involving a motorcycle near 14th Avenue South. Upon arrival, they found the motorcyclist on the ground, with a witness having applied a tourniquet. According to witnesses, an unknown vehicle struck the rear of the northbound motorcycle, causing it to crash. The driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcycle then fled the scene. The injured rider was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. Detective Lilley of the WSP is leading the investigation and has requested that anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage email Jacob.Lilley@wsp.gov or use a provided QR code to upload videos.
