What's Happening?
George Emme, a beloved family man and community member, passed away on February 11, 2026, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Susan, and his children, Robert, John, Michael, Katherine, and Brandon, along with 14 grandchildren and one
great-grandson. Emme was a graduate of Fenwick High School and the University of Michigan, where he developed a lifelong passion for the Wolverines. Known for his love of golf and racket sports, he formed many friendships through these activities. Emme is remembered for his kindness, humor, and deep love for his family. A visitation is scheduled for April 24 at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home in Glenview, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Glenview Parks Foundation.
