Aileen Mae Christiansen, a long-time resident of New Boston, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at the age of 99 on October 2, 2025. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 10, 1926, she was the daughter of Herman and Mary Waarich. Aileen's life was marked by her dedication to family and community. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1945, she worked for the War Assets office, a law firm, and the Chicago Tribune. In 1951, she married Donald L. Christiansen and together they had five children. Following her husband's passing in 1971, Aileen moved her family to New Hampshire, where she co-owned a McDonald's franchise and worked at the New Boston recreation department and Manchester post office. Known for her faith, love, and resilience, Aileen was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed dancing, solving crossword puzzles, and reading. She is survived by her five children, 18 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
