The Arizona Department of Transportation (DOT) has engaged Jacobs and Sundt in a design-build partnership to modernize a three-mile stretch of Interstate 10 in Tucson, Arizona. This $600 million project aims to alleviate congestion by adding three general-purpose
lanes in each direction and removing existing interchanges. The project also includes constructing a new I-10 westbound entrance ramp and an undercrossing. This initiative is part of Arizona DOT's long-term transportation improvement plan, outlined in the I-10 and State Route 210 Transportation Design Concept Report completed in 2020.
