Mexicana has initiated the second phase of its fleet expansion by introducing the first Embraer E190 E2 aircraft at Felipe Ángeles International Airport. The airline, which ordered 20 E2 aircraft in 2024, has already received five E195 E2s and now adds
the E190 E2 to its fleet. The E190 E2, configured with 108 seats, is designed for routes requiring less capacity than the E195 E2, which seats 132. This expansion is part of Mexicana's strategy to consolidate its fleet to 20 aircraft by 2027, enhancing its operational capacity and supporting Mexico's economic and tourism development.
