Ukrainian female soldiers are testing new body armour designed specifically for women, developed by Canadian companies NP Aerospace and Logistik Unicorp. This initiative addresses the issue of ill-fitting standard body armour, which was originally designed for men.
The new armour features curved ballistic plates that better fit women's bodies, providing enhanced protection. Ukrainian MP Iryna Nykorak, who has been advocating for gender-specific military gear, highlights the importance of this development as more women serve in combat roles. The U.K. has also contributed by donating 2,000 sets of this specialized armour to Ukraine.
