The German networks regulator, Bundesnetzagentur, has introduced an app for mobile users to document and report underperformance in their mobile services. Users can take 30 data speed measurements over five days, and if the service fails to meet the agreed
maximum speed on at least three days, it is deemed underperforming. This initiative allows users to seek compensation or terminate contracts without penalty. The app aims to empower consumers and ensure mobile operators meet their service commitments.
