James 'Weston' Higginbotham, a 20-year-old Auburn University student, was found dead in the mountains outside Kyoto, Japan, after a dayslong search. Higginbotham disappeared on May 29 during a family vacation, having left to explore Kyoto alone. His body
was discovered by a volunteer search-and-rescue group. The search involved over 100 police officers, K-9 units, and helicopters. The family had also launched their own search efforts with local residents and a hired rescue team.
