What's Happening?
The City of McCall, Idaho, in collaboration with the McCall Redevelopment Agency, has commissioned artist Matt Sunderman to design and install a new large-scale mural in downtown McCall. This mural, to be located on a west-facing wall along Lake Street,
aims to celebrate McCall's unique character and emphasize the theme of conservation. The project, with a budget of $20,000, will cover both the design and installation costs. Sunderman is tasked with creating three design concepts, which will be reviewed by the community and stakeholders before a final design is selected. The mural will incorporate elements of scenic, agricultural, recreational, historic, environmental, habitat, or water themes. Community members are invited to participate in the selection process by voting on the designs, which are intended to reflect the conservation theme and the community's values.
