What's Happening?
Armenia is actively participating in industrial cooperation projects under the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) financial support mechanism. Gohar Barseghyan, a member of the Board for Industry and Agro-Industrial
Complex at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), highlighted Armenia's involvement in two of the 16 projects. These projects include developing high-tech manufacturing for railway components and building a facility in Tatarstan for elevator system components. The total funding for these projects is expected to reach nearly 9 billion rubles by 2026. Despite this engagement, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk noted a decline in Armenia-Russia trade in 2025, with Russian businesses becoming more cautious in their dealings with Armenia.
