Epiroc has unveiled the Scooptram ST4, a new underground loader designed to boost productivity in narrow-vein mining operations. The loader, which features a 4-ton payload, has been developed in collaboration
with customers to meet the specific needs of small drift mines. It incorporates a Stage V engine and has demonstrated significant improvements in safety, productivity, and reliability during field tests. Key enhancements include a new powertrain system and a redesigned rear frame, which improve performance and operator visibility. The loader is available with both Tier 3/EU Stage IIIA and Tier 4/EU Stage V engine configurations, offering 20% more power than its predecessor, the Scooptram ST2G. The Stage V engine also meets high emission standards, reducing particulate matter and nitrogen oxides, and is compatible with HVO100 fuel to lower CO2 emissions.
