What's Happening?
The Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce has revealed the winners of its 2026 Community Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to the community. The awards highlight achievements in areas such as civic leadership,
community service, education, business, and public service. John Harrington has been named Citizen of the Year, while Gardner Outlet Furniture has been awarded Business of the Year. Dianne LeBlanc of Keep Gardner Beautiful will receive the Sybil Arguijo Community Service Award. Additionally, John Flick will be honored posthumously with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The Community Improvement Award will go to the Bailey Brook Disc Golf Course, acknowledging the efforts of Ben Tucker and Gilberg Gravel. Kathleen Brennan from the Oakmont Regional School District will receive the Michael Gerry Unsung Hero Award, Ernest Dow will be recognized with the Legacy of Service Award, and Christian Gonzalez will be honored as the Rising Star Award recipient. The awards will be formally presented at the chamber’s Annual Meeting on May 7.
