The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade is set to return on February 28, 2026, featuring over 10,000 marchers and more than 160 floats. The event will follow its iconic route through Oxford Street,
Flinders Street, and Moore Park Road, led by Dykes on Bikes and First Nations marchers. The theme for this year, 'ECSTATICA', aims to capture the collective joy and pride of the queer community. Highlights include floats like 'Mother Earth; YOU Better Werk' by Yamurrah, which focuses on Blak queer voices, and 'Trans Joy - A Decade of Light' by Trans Pride Australia, celebrating a decade of change for the trans community. The parade is supported by the NSW Government and sponsors like Canva, which provides grants to community groups for participation.
