communication links, and data-fusion systems, to track drones, low-flying aircraft, and cruise missiles. This network, built and operated by L3Harris for over two decades for the U.S. National Airspace System, covers the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico. The company suggests that existing radar sites and ground stations could integrate additional sensors, such as passive radars and software-defined Active Electronically Scanned Array panels. This expanded system would then be capable of tracking non-cooperative targets across the country and relaying critical data to military and homeland security agencies.
