Franciscan Alliance CEO Kevin Leahy has announced his decision to step down from his position effective December 31, 2026. Leahy, who has been with the nonprofit Catholic healthcare ministry for 48 years, will assist in the leadership transition until
his retirement at the end of 2027. The Franciscan Alliance system includes 11 hospital campuses and employs over 16,000 people. In addition to this leadership change, the organization is involved in community activities such as a free Summer Health Series in Schererville, Indiana, in partnership with the Schererville Parks & Recreation Department. This series will offer health education sessions and physical activities on Fridays from July 10 to August 21, excluding July 17.
