The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) has distributed more than $1 billion in 'Safe Streets and Roads for All' (SS4A) grants. This funding will support 297 projects across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and tribal lands. The grants are specifically
aimed at enhancing road safety by upgrading hazardous intersections, eliminating dangerous railroad crossings, expanding truck parking facilities, and strengthening emergency response services. Additionally, the package includes $335 million dedicated to improving post-crash care and pre-hospital blood transfusion capabilities.
