What's Happening?
ESGold Corp has mobilized its geological and engineering team to Colombia to conduct on-the-ground validation at the Planta Magdalena Project. This initiative follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed in August 2025, aiming to confirm high-grade tailings and explore broader potential in the Bolivar region. The team will focus on verifying historic tailings grades, evaluating site infrastructure, and reviewing exploration opportunities. Bulk samples from Colombia and Quebec have been sent to ALS Global for metallurgical analysis, which will be crucial for confirming gold and silver recoveries under ESGold's clean-processing framework. CEO Gordon Robb emphasized the importance of this phase in transitioning from intent to execution, validating data firsthand, and preparing for site commissioning.
Why It's Important?
The validation program in Colombia is a significant step in ESGold's strategy to expand its clean mining operations across the Americas. By confirming the site's potential, ESGold aims to advance its MOU into a definitive joint-venture agreement, enhancing its position in the precious metals market. The initiative supports ESGold's goal of building a scalable, cash-flow-generating platform, combining reprocessing of legacy materials with exploration of under-tested districts. Successful validation could lead to increased shareholder value and sustainable growth, positioning ESGold as a leader in responsible gold and silver production.
What's Next?
ESGold plans to share updates on fieldwork progress and metallurgical results as data becomes available. The company remains fully funded to complete these initiatives while continuing construction at its Montauban project in Quebec, targeting first production in 2026. The results from the Colombia validation will play a key role in supporting near-term production readiness and confirming the metallurgy behind ESGold's clean-processing model.
