Salem Police Department Captain Sean Slusser has successfully completed and graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico. This prestigious program is recognized globally as a premier training initiative for law enforcement. Captain Slusser now
joins a select group of 11 current or former members of the Salem Police Department who are also graduates of the academy. The 299th session of the National Academy included 265 law enforcement officers from 44 states, the District of Columbia, 28 international countries, five military organizations, and four federal civilian organizations. Captain Slusser, who serves as an Administrative Services Captain and is part of the department's executive staff, brings over 23 years of law enforcement experience, with 19 years dedicated to the city of Salem. His career trajectory within the department has included various leadership and operational roles such as Patrol Officer, Special Investigations Detective, General Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, and Services Lieutenant.
