Rebecca Silver, a dental nurse from London, has won the first prize in the graduate category of the New Communicator Award presented by the British and Irish Dental Editors and Writers Forum (BIDEWF).
Her article, 'Hierarchy in dentistry: A dental nurse perspective,' published in BDJ Team, earned her the award. The second prize was awarded to Rachel Sladden for her article on the impact of artificial intelligence on oral surgery. The awards, sponsored by the British Dental Industry Association (BDIA), recognize new communicators in the dental field. The presentation took place in London at the Royal Air Force Club.
