What's Happening?
Turner Prize-winning artist Helen Marten has staged an epic opera titled '30 Blizzards' during Art Basel Paris, in collaboration with the fashion brand Miu Miu. The exhibition, held at the Palais d'Iéna, features a combination of installation, video,
and performance art. Directed by Fabio Cherstich, the opera includes 30 performers who activate the five-channel work at intervals. The exhibition explores universal themes through characters such as the Fox, the Mother, and the Dog Walker, blending speech and song. Marten's work expands her artistic practice by incorporating performance and music, with the libretto set to music by composer Beatrice Dillon.
