Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, is developing a new workforce training program with the support of the Kentucky Power Economic Growth Grant. This initiative
aims to enhance the skills of the local workforce by providing specialized training in Regulated Metal Deposition (RMD). The program is designed to meet the needs of local employers such as Local 248 and Infinity Design and Construction Group. The grant will be used to purchase RMD equipment, enabling BSCTC to offer training that aligns with current industry demands.
