What's Happening?
The World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders (YGL) program is dedicated to shaping responsible leaders committed to improving the state of the world. Established in 2004, the program brings together
exceptional individuals under the age of 40 from diverse industries and regions. These leaders have demonstrated a track record of driving change in their communities and beyond. The program equips them with tools, experiences, and networks to amplify their impact, focusing on leadership skills, responsible decision-making, and cross-sector collaboration. With over 1,400 members from more than 120 countries, the YGL community fosters innovative solutions and meaningful collaboration to address global challenges.
Why It's Important?
The YGL program plays a crucial role in developing future leaders who can tackle pressing global issues. By investing in young leaders, the program not only enhances individual potential but also builds a collective force for addressing challenges such as public health, economic development, technology, and sustainability. The diverse perspectives within the YGL community drive innovative solutions, contributing to policy shaping and community improvement worldwide. This initiative is vital for fostering a new generation of leaders who are equipped to navigate and resolve complex global problems.
