Joint Base Charleston has announced a change in location for its annual Charleston Airshow, moving the event off-base due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. The airshow will now be a one-day event held over Charleston Harbor on May 2. The decision,
made by Col. Jason 'JP' Parker, was influenced by increased operational demands on the base. The event will feature performances by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and other aerial acts, with public viewing from downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant. Unlike previous years, the new format does not require passes for general viewing, and refunds will be issued for previously purchased premium seating tickets.
