The American Kidney Fund (AKF) is hosting a reception and awards ceremony to recognize retiring members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) and basketball Hall-of-Famer Alonzo Mourning for their contributions to kidney health initiatives. The event,
held during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., aims to raise awareness about chronic kidney disease (CKD), APOL1-mediated kidney disease (AMKD), and health disparities affecting Black communities.
