The Community College of Vermont (CCV) has awarded emergency scholarships to 17 students, funded by a $10,000 grant from the Ellucian Foundation. These scholarships, ranging from $500 to $600 per student, are intended to help students overcome unexpected
challenges such as food insecurity, transportation, and housing. Alexandra Chary, a CCV student and single mother, expressed gratitude for the financial support, which she used to purchase groceries. The initiative is part of CCV's broader effort to support students in need, ensuring they can continue their education despite financial hardships.
