The TaxProf Blog, a prominent source for legal education and tax law commentary, has been revitalized under the auspices of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS). Originally founded by Paul Caron, dean and professor at Pepperdine University Rick
J. Caruso School of Law, the blog has served the legal and academic communities for over two decades. It was temporarily shut down due to the closure of its hosting platform, Typepad, on September 30, 2025. AALS has now acquired the blog, ensuring the preservation of its archives and continued dissemination of information relevant to legal education and tax law. The blog will feature contributions from Caron and a team of editors, maintaining its tradition of providing news, scholarship, and analysis.
