A Korean container ship, the Shanghai Voyager, successfully rescued four crew members from an Indonesian tug, AOM 787, in the South China Sea. The tug was towing an empty barge near the Anambas Islands when it encountered stormy conditions, leading to its
capsizing. The crew abandoned the tug and took refuge in a liferaft. The Shanghai Voyager spotted their signal flares and, despite challenging conditions, managed to bring the crew aboard safely.
