Keeney Farms, a family-owned operation in Benton, Pennsylvania, is actively involved in providing locally-raised beef to school cafeterias as part of the PA Beef to PA Schools (PBPS) program. The farm, managed by Dan Keeney and his family, supplies approximately
3,000 pounds of beef monthly to 10 schools in the Benton area, with plans to increase this to 5,000-10,000 pounds as demand grows. Beyond supplying beef, Keeney Farms engages with students through educational initiatives, including farm-to-table days where they showcase videos of the farm and even bring live calves for students to meet.
