The World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) is advancing its commitment to accessibility by focusing on Ukraine's efforts to become more inclusive. In collaboration with Ukraine's State Agency for Tourism Development, UN Tourism hosted an international
webinar titled 'Accessible Tourism for All: Focus on Ukraine.' The event featured experts from the European Network for Accessible Tourism and representatives from Spain, Portugal, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The webinar emphasized accessibility as both a fundamental right and a significant economic opportunity for destinations and companies. Ukrainian speakers highlighted progress in national strategies aligned with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, including the National Implementation Action Plan (2025) and the National Strategy for a Barrier-Free Environment – Horizon 2030. Success stories from cities like Lviv and initiatives like Etnoсhary Ceramics of Podillia were showcased, alongside challenges in making creative industries, heritage sites, and public services more inclusive.
