What's Happening?
The Fundación Atletismo Asistido is dedicated to promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in sports such as athletics, triathlon, and open water swimming. Established in 2010, the foundation operates with full legal and fiscal compliance, allowing
it to receive donations that are tax-deductible under Argentine law. The organization is a member of several strategic and sports planning bodies in Buenos Aires, including the COPE and COPAR. The foundation's mission is to ensure full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in all areas, using sports as a vehicle for empowerment and community integration.
Why It's Important?
The work of Fundación Atletismo Asistido is crucial in advancing the rights and opportunities for people with disabilities, promoting social inclusion and equality. By facilitating access to sports, the foundation helps break down barriers and challenges stereotypes, fostering a more inclusive society. This initiative not only benefits individuals with disabilities by enhancing their physical and mental well-being but also raises awareness about the importance of inclusivity in sports and other societal domains. The foundation's efforts contribute to broader social change, encouraging other organizations and communities to adopt similar inclusive practices.
