He was married to Diane Clauss for 50 years until her passing in 2020. Eberly was known for his love of family, often attending his grandchildren's events and enjoying drives in his 2004 Corvette. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. A funeral service will be held on July 11, 2026, at Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, Illinois, followed by interment with military honors.
