Alligator Energy has reached the final construction stages of its Samphire Uranium Project near Whyalla in South Australia. The company has installed an in-situ recovery (ISR) pilot plant and is currently
conducting mechanical, electrical, and pipework installations. This development follows the completion of earthmoving works and bund installation. The first results from the Field Recovery Trial (FRT) are expected between February and April 2026. CEO Andrea Marsland-Smith highlighted that Alligator is among a few uranium developers nearing production in Australia. The project aims to deliver a low-cost, low-impact ISR uranium operation, aligning with the increasing global demand for clean energy.
