Michael J. DeBartolo, a respected educator, real estate broker, and banker, passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 78 in Naples, Florida. Born in Aurora, Illinois, DeBartolo had a diverse career in education and real estate. He earned his bachelor's
degree from Elmhurst College and a Juris Doctorate from Northern Illinois University. DeBartolo moved to Florida in 1985, where he continued his real estate career. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, all of whom were attorneys. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Angels Church in Aurora, Illinois, followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
