What's Happening?
The U.S. Army has awarded two electronic warfare (EW)-related production contracts totaling nearly $196 million. These are the first production deals under the Army's new Rapid Electromagnetic Warfare and Signals Intelligence (REWSI) call for solutions
program. Heaviside Industries Inc. received $99 million for its MOTH spectrum analyzer, a small form factor sensor designed to detect and report signals in the electromagnetic spectrum for ground units. Research Innovations Inc. was awarded $96.9 million for its AI-driven Dragonfly sensors, which will be integrated with Menet Aero's Intrepid drone. These awards aim to accelerate the acquisition of commercial EW tools to help soldiers operate effectively in the electromagnetic spectrum.
