What's Happening?
Access to Thrive, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, hosted a job fair at the Imperial Valley Mall in collaboration with Options for All. The event, held on July 11, aimed to provide job opportunities
and resources for people with disabilities. Ashley Contreras, the executive director of Access to Thrive, organized the fair as part of their S.T.E.P. program, which focuses on skills, training, and entrepreneurial pathways. The job fair featured 40 local businesses offering a range of job opportunities, from hospitality to city positions. Attendees, including recent high school graduates and college students, had the chance to interact with employers and learn about various programs available in the Imperial Valley.
