A skier died at Mammoth Mountain resort after a fatal accident on a steep run called Dropout 2. The skier, whose identity has not been released, fell and slid headfirst for hundreds of yards, unable to
stop. This incident marks the fourth death at the resort this season. The accident occurred in full view of other skiers on a nearby lift, adding to the tragedy. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by ski patrollers and paramedics, the skier was pronounced dead at Mammoth Hospital.
