Severson Dells Nature Center in Rockford, Illinois, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a free, all-day open house on January 19. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center's location on Montague Road. Visitors can enjoy hands-on
activities for children, Adventure Backpacks for outdoor exploration, and complimentary coffee and cocoa. Each attendee will receive a 50th anniversary sticker. The open house marks the start of a yearlong celebration of the center's five decades of providing nature education programs to the community. Executive Director Ann Wasser emphasized the importance of celebrating with the community that has supported the center over the years.
