Mr Whippy, a well-known food brand, has announced the establishment of a new £15 million manufacturing facility in Sheffield. The facility, located at Woodhouse Link on Innovation Way, will be used to
produce a new line of doughnuts, adding to the brand's existing portfolio of cupcakes. The new site is expected to produce over 104 million doughnuts annually starting in 2026. The facility is currently being fitted out for specialist food production and will create more than 50 new jobs in the South East Sheffield industrial estate. The decision to set up in Sheffield was made by company director Michael Corrado Jackson, who cited the location and operational capabilities of the modern, detached unit as key factors. The unit is being marketed by Knight Frank and CPP on behalf of investment manager ESR.
