Samantha Jane Turner Austin, a longtime resident of Macon County, Tennessee, passed away at the age of 86 on December 25, 2025. Born on November 8, 1939, in Macon County, she was a homemaker and worked
in early childcare at Donelson Heights United Methodist Church. Austin was married to Bobby Gene Austin for over 66 years until his passing in 2023. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Austin, and other family members. Her funeral services were held on December 31, 2025, at Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tennessee, with interment following in Whitley Cemetery.
