U.S. Space Command (SPACECOM) recently completed 'Apollo Maneuvers 2026,' an exercise designed to practice maneuvering satellites across low-, medium-, and geosynchronous orbits. This exercise, announced by commander Gen. Stephen Whiting, aimed to refine
tactics and inform future maneuver warfare doctrine in space. During the exercise, SPACECOM maneuvered existing satellites to demonstrate the requirements and capabilities for maneuvering for advantage, rather than just for orbital maintenance. The exercise integrated allied partners from Operation Olympic Defender and industry players through the Commercial Integration Cell, strengthening joint and combined operations.
