The James S. McDonnell Planetarium at the St. Louis Science Center has completed its largest upgrades in over 25 years, reopening with a state-of-the-art hybrid projection system. This system combines GOTO Chiron III and Cosm Digistar Full-Dome Data Visualization
technologies, making it the most advanced hybrid planetarium in the United States. The renovation includes a new sound system and an Auracast system for enhanced hearing accessibility. The planetarium now offers three newly developed shows, providing an educational experience that simulates a starry sky away from city lights.
