Volkswagen, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), has advanced its Digital Production Platform (DPP) to streamline automotive production processes. The DPP integrates order intake, logistics, and manufacturing, facilitating seamless data flow across Volkswagen's global production sites. This initiative supports Volkswagen's strategic goal of becoming a leading automotive tech company by digitalizing and connecting all operational areas. The platform enables the rollout of standardized IT systems across factories, enhancing efficiency and reducing production risks. Currently, 43 sites in Europe, North and South America are connected to the DPP, contributing to significant cost savings and improved production capabilities.
