What's Happening?
Hunter Hospitality House is organizing its annual fundraising event, Hope Blooms, on April 30 at the Blue Water Convention Center in Port Huron, Michigan. The event aims to raise funds to support the organization's mission of providing free lodging for
families of hospitalized patients. The evening will feature dinner, live music, a cash drawing, raffles, and a silent auction. Hunter Hospitality House operates three homes offering free accommodations to families of patients, individuals undergoing outpatient treatment, and those needing a place to stay before surgery. The organization was founded in memory of Hunter Eldon Willard and has been serving the community since 2011.
Why It's Important?
The fundraising event is crucial for sustaining the operations of Hunter Hospitality House, which plays a vital role in supporting families during challenging times. By providing free lodging, the organization alleviates the financial burden on families who need to stay close to their loved ones receiving medical care. This service is particularly important for those traveling from out of town or facing extended hospital stays. The event not only raises necessary funds but also increases community awareness and engagement, fostering a supportive network for families in need.
