The funding for these grants was sourced from the foundation’s community grantmaking fund and three endowed sources: the Armfield and Rachel Rivers Coffey Memorial Fund, the Dr. Don Saunders Endowment, and the High Country Recreation Endowment. The largest grant, amounting to $4,240, was awarded to the Hospitality House of Northwest North Carolina for its Food Lockers 2026 program. Other recipients include F.A.R.M. Cafe, Inc., The Children’s Council, and Oasis, Inc., among others.
