What's Happening?
Sonardyne International has introduced an Acoustic Data Logger designed for long-term subsea wellbore monitoring and data retrieval. The system records and transmits wellbore pressure and temperature data from
depths up to 3,000 meters, utilizing advanced acoustic technology. It is built for both short-term and multi-year deployments, offering consistent performance in challenging offshore environments. The logger integrates with various downhole gauges and can transmit large volumes of data to surface platforms or vessels. With configurable logging intervals and extended battery life, the system provides up to three years of autonomous operation.
Why It's Important?
The Acoustic Data Logger represents a significant advancement in subsea monitoring technology, enhancing the ability to manage well integrity and reservoir performance. By providing reliable data transmission from deep-sea environments, the system supports better decision-making in offshore operations. This technology is crucial for maintaining safety standards and optimizing production in the oil and gas industry. The logger's ability to operate autonomously for extended periods reduces the need for frequent interventions, lowering operational costs and minimizing environmental impact.
