Free Wi-Fi hotspots are now available for checkout at 10 SAPL locations, including Bazan, Collins Garden, Cortez, Forest Hills, Las Palmas, Memorial, Mission, Pan American, Schaefer, and Westfall. These hotspots function similarly to books, allowing families to check them out for up to three weeks and renew them if no one else is waiting. This initiative is part of a pilot program targeting areas in San Antonio identified with equity and broadband internet needs. The library also provides round-the-clock homework assistance through Brain Fuse, accessible in both English and Spanish for students from kindergarten through graduate school. Additionally, SAPL offers access to LearningExpressHub.com, which includes preparation materials for various exams, such as nursing, law enforcement, and college entrance tests like the ACT and SAT.
